Job Summary
A Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst is sought in Boston, MA, for a contract role. The analyst will be responsible for developing, documenting, and executing test plans, cases, and scripts, participating in requirement reviews, and managing test data. Key duties include utilizing OpenText Quality Center/ALM for defect management, collaborating with development teams, and supporting UAT. The role requires 3-10 years of testing experience, proficiency in SQL and XML, and strong analytical and communication skills.
Must Have
- Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality input
- Plan test schedules and strategies
- Document test cases, results and defects utilizing OpenText Quality Center/ALM
- Create and manage test data, including for automated scripts
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business analysts
- Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations
- 3-10 years of testing and/or Property & Casualty Insurance experience
- Experience with Quality Center/ALM for requirements, test case and defect management
- Data testing experience, including writing SQL and working with XML files
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team
- Self-starter with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills
- A 'process improvement' mind-set

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst in Boston, MA. Responsibilities:
- Based on project requirements and technical design, develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on requirements and specifications
- Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality input early in the process
- Plan test schedules and strategies in accordance with project scope and delivery dates
- Schedule and review test plan review with project manager, business analyst, and UAT Lead
- Document test cases, results and defects utilizing OpenText (formerly HP) Quality Center/ALM
- Create and manage test data, including data for use by automated scripts where applicable
- Document and communicate project quality over the course of testing, including readiness for release using our standard test process and status reporting template
- Collaborate with developers, project managers, and business analysts to ensure quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle
- Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) phase through test information sharing and test data creation for UAT team members using our automated processes
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations or standards
Requirements
- 3-10 years of testing and/or Property & Casualty Insurance experience
- Experience with Quality Center/ALM for requirements, test case and defect management
- Data testing experience; Includes writing SQL and working with XML files
- Excellent skills as a communicator and facilitator, both written and oral
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a team to accomplish a common goal
- Self-starter, with strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and influencing skills
